Wasey Lynn Lyons

Wasey Lynn Lyons, 88, of Liberty, TX, passed away Monday, July 13, 2026. Visitation will be Sunday, July 19 from 5pm-8pm at Chaddick Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Monday, July 20 at 12:30pm at Texas Avenue Baptist Church. Interment will be at Old Cypress Cemetery. Rev. Darryl Hoychick and Rev. Tony Hines will officiate. 

Wasey is survived by his two daughters, Lynda Yarbrough & Larry of Liberty, TX and Renee Buras & Russell of Willis, TX; two sons, Forrest Lyons & Kim of Mont Belvieu, TX and Wasey Lyons & Cary of DeRidder, LA; seventeen grandchildren; thirty-six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Sandra Mulig of Jena, LA, Wanda Sue Frusha of DeRidder, LA and Barbara "Bootsie" Gibson & James of Ragley, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Grace Lyons; father, Wasey Lyons; mother and stepfather, Vera & A.A. "Chat" Daniels; sisters, Ann Hughes and Carol Meinke; and brothers, William "Ruff" Lyons, Alvin "Buddy" Lyons, and Aubrey "Dinky" Daniels.
