Steven Lee Buchanan

Steven Lee Buchanan, of Ragley, La. born March 23,1968, passed away Monday, May 11, 2026.

“Stevie” to many, was a journeyman electrician by trade. Steve had an adventurous spirit and lived a nomadic lifestyle, as he loved to travel and see the world. He possessed an easy-going and friendly personality that made friends easily and found work readily.

He is survived by a loving family who will cherish his memory. His sisters, Terri Joseffy, Dana Hooper & Husband Keith of DeRidder, La. and his son Trace Owens of San Diego, CA. One niece, Paige Hooper Montgomery. Two nephews, Tyler Joseffy and Brandon Hooper.

Steve was preceded in death by his loving parents, Terrell Ray “Buck” and Nita Buchanan.

He will be remembered for his kind heart, easy laugh, and persistence in meeting every challenge life brought his way. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his family and all who were fortunate to know him.

Cremation has been entrusted to Chaddick Funeral Home, and a private Celebration of Life Service will be held on a later date.
