Sonja Bernice Lambert

Sonja Bernice Lambert, 69, of DeRidder, LA passed away Monday, August 31, 2026.  Visitation will be Thursday, September 3 from 5-9pm at First Baptist Church of Longville.  Funeral service will be Friday, September 4 at 10am at First Baptist Church of Longville.  Interment will be at Lewis Cemetery.  Bro. Corey Townsley will officiate.

Sonja is survived by her stepson, Lloyd L. Lambert, III of DeRidder, LA; granddaughter, Britney Garcia & Alejandro of DeQuincy, LA; two grandchildren, Cassidee Hudson and Carter Bradley; goddaughter, Ashlyn Courville & Michael of Lake Charles, LA; three brothers, Thomas Gruber & Edie of Lumberton, TX, Clifford Gruber of Abbeville, LA and Russel Gruber & Diana of Rancho Viejo, TX; members of VFW Post #3619 and Ladies Auxiliary; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, family, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd "Sonny" Lambert, Jr.; son, Robert L. Lambert; parents, Tom & Peggy Gruber; and sister, Heide Walker.
