Sharon Ann Miller

Sharon Ann Miller was born to the union of Venton Cecil Miller and Mary Virginia Harris Miller on November 27, 1958. She was welcomed by her five siblings: Vernon, Vera, Josie, Wayne, and Debora. She and her family were members of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church where Rev. J.W. Gibbs was the pastor. Sharon participated in many church activities. She had a very lovely voice, was a soloist, and loved to sing in the choir.

Sharon is a graduate of DeRidder High School. She attended the University of Louisiana Lafayette.

She took pride and joy in helping others and was an excellent cook. Often times, she prepared meals at her church. She enjoyed working with the youth department where she exhibited her love for creative design at Christmas and other holiday programs.

Sharon leaves to cherish her memory: sons, Ryan Miller & Sharon of Jacksonville, FL and Jared Miller of DeRidder, LA; grandchildren, Patrick, Kylee, Kayla, and Kamille; siblings, Vera Camel, Josie Thrash, Wayne Miller, and Debora Ajala; stepmother, Dian Miller; stepsisters, Patricia McClendon and Sally Ford & Pastor Elliott; cousins, who were like sisters and always there for her, Bertha Harris, Pamela Gillard, and Gayle Taylor; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Venton and Mary Miller; and brother, Vernon Miller.

Sharon will be truly missed and her family loves her dearly.

Celebration of Life service will be Friday, September 26 at 11am at Beech Grove Baptist Church.  Rev. Elliott Ford will officiate.
