Samuel Ray Trogdon

Samuel Ray Trogdon, 85, of DeRidder, LA passed away Monday, October 12, 2026.  Visitation will be Thursday, October 22 from 10am-1pm at Grace Church.  Funeral service will be Thursday, October 22 at 1pm at Grace Church.  Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.  Rev. George Lee Glass, Rev. Rodney Shaw, Rev. Robert Pfantz, and Rev. Michael Williams will officiate.

Samuel is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sheryl Trogdon of DeRidder, LA; four children, Tina Joy & Ty of Cape Coral, FL, Timothy Trogdon & Nona of Cape Coral, FL, Tammy Cottrell & Jeff of Reidsville, NC, and Jessica Trogdon & Brent Jones of Leesville, LA; four grandchildren, James Joy & Carley of Republic, MO, Jessica Durham & Justin of Cape Coral, FL, Casey Ellsworth & Ryan of Reidsville, NC, and Sydney Propst of Reidsville, NC; eight great-grandchildren, Savanna, Emma, James, Elias, Adaline, Benjen, Gavin, and Draven; sister, Elizabeth Burney of Hampton, VA; and brother, David Trogdon of Lumberton, NC.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James & Orie Trogdon; twin sister, Sarah Linebaugh; and brothers, Delmer Trogdon, Edward Trogdon, and Joe Trogdon.
