Oletha Carolyn Gates

Oletha Carolyn Gates, 85, of DeRidder, LA passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2024.  Visitation will be Friday, September 20 from 6-8pm and Saturday, September 21 from 11am until time of service at Grace Church.  Funeral service will be Saturday, September 21 at 1pm at Grace Church.  Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.  Rev. George Lee Glass, Rev. Zale Lewis, and Rev. Robert Pfantz will officiate. Oletha is survived by her husband, SMAr Julius W. “Bill” Gates of DeRidder, LA; one daughter, Sheryl Trogdon & Sam of Pflugerville, TX; two sons, Theron Pfantz & Sherry of DeRidder, LA and Robert Pfantz & Shelia of DeRidder, LA; six grandchildren, Jessica Trogdon, Brittany Masterson & Ben, Ashley Pfantz, Kayla Eady & Larry, Kristina Ballard & John, and Raymond Pfantz, Jr.; thirteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie & Ola Bea Fletcher; son, Raymond Pfantz, Sr.; grandson, Benjamin Pfantz; brother, Jerry Fletcher; and infant great-grandsons, Joshua Bryce and Mason Ballard.
