Janet Marie Lewis

Janet Marie Lewis was born on March 8, 1958, and from the very beginning, she was known for her big smile and gullible tender heart. She grew up with a deep sense of family and would help anyone who needed it. She cherished and loved her four kids and two grandsons.

Janet passed away unexpectedly in DeRidder, LA, on October 16th, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and kindness that will live on through her family and friends.

Janet will be remembered by her mothers, Barbara Johnson of Cravens, LA and Mary Simmons of Sugartown, LA; children, Gena Smith of Sulphur, LA, Kimberly Smith of DeRidder, LA, Jody Smith of DeRidder, LA, and Teri Smith of Magnolia, TX; grandsons, Jacobie Cooper of Houston, TX and Jeramiah Foster of DeRidder, LA; and her siblings.

She is preceded in death by her fathers, Lealon Simmons and Earl Smith.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 19 from 5pm-8pm at Sugartown Pentecostal Church. Funeral service will be Monday, October 20 at 1pm at Sugartown Pentecostal Church. Interment will be at Smyrna Cemetery. Rev. George Lee Glass will officiate.
