Gloria Sue Weeks

Gloria Sue (Vander) Weeks, 72, of Rosepine, LA, was called to be forever happy tending to Heaven’s rose garden on Wednesday, December 20, 2017.  A memorial service for Gloria will be announced at a later date. Sue loved anything outdoors, especially her rose garden.  Whether she grew a flower or vegetable garden, there was always some to give away with a smile.  She will be remembered and missed for the special visits with her, where everyone was always welcomed with a big heart, a cup of coffee, and a listening ear; and where everyone was called “Baby”. Sue is survived by her son, Kenny Beckwith (Billy Jo) of Rosepine; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Linda West (Roxy) of Rosepine, Cathy Springstun (Don) of DeRidder, and Vicki Cooley (Dwayne) of DeRidder; one sister-in-law, Martha Vander of Rosepine; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins,  family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Weeks; daughter, Tammy Sue Cardy; parents, O’Neal (Plummer) Horton & Luther Vander; two brothers, Raymond Vander and Mark Garcia; one sister, Pat Matherne; and one nephew, Richard (Ricky) West. The family would like to give a special thanks to all family and friends for your kind words and prayers.
