It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gary Lynn Diron, a beloved brother, uncle, and friend, who left us on May 12, 2026, in Rosepine, Louisiana. Born on January 14, 1964, in DeRidder, Louisiana, Gary lived a life full of laughter, love, and countless cherished moments.

For over 25 years, Gary made his mark at the DeRidder Housing Authority in maintenance. His infectious smile and incredible storytelling abilities, over a good cup of coffee, always brought joy to those around him. His ability to make people laugh was truly a gift, and he turned even the most ordinary days into something special.

Gary was a fierce supporter of his family, spending countless hours at the ballfields cheering on his nieces and nephews. His dedication to Rosepine Athletics was unparalleled, and he was a proud member of the chain gang for Rosepine High School Football for many years. Gary was a die-hard LSU fan and played many years of slow pitch mens soft ball and incrediball with his brothers and close friends.

Gary is survived by his brothers, Paul Diron and Adele of DeRidder, LA, Greg Wilson and Connie of Carencro, LA; sister-in-law, Bridgett Diron of DeRidder, LA; nieces and nephews, Little Jerry Diron of DeRidder, LA, Terry "T-Bug" Diron and Amber of DeRidder, LA, Garrick Diron and Kat of Rosepine, LA, Terri Baker, Jason Terrell and Matthew Diron, all of DeRidder, LA; great nieces and nephews, Junior Diron, Angel Diron, Kolton Diron, Mason Diron, Gabby Diron, Shelby Diron, Jake Diron, Paisley Diron, Gavin Diron, Chloe Baker, Bella Baker, Emily- Marie Diron; great-great nephews, Axel and Brady and a host of family and friends who will carry his spirit forward in their hearts.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents, JC and Marie Diron; brother, Jerry Wayne Diron; great nephew, Carson Diron.

A funeral service in celebration of Gary's life will take place at Chaddick Funeral Home on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 12:00 PM. A public viewing will be held prior, starting at 10:00 AM. Brother Ronnie J. Lalande and Brother Mike Clark will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Shane Isbell, Larue Jones, Wesley Smith, Dean Jones, Austin Moore, Travis Vernier. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.

As we gather to remember Gary, let us come together to honor the laughter, love, and unforgettable memories he shared with us all. You will be missed, Gary, but your spirit will forever light up the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing you.
