Evelyn Louise McClinton, 71, of DeRidder, LA, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2026. Visitation will be Saturday, April 11 from 9-11am at Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Funeral service will be Saturday, April 11 at 11am at Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Interment will be at Beauregard Cemetery. Rev. Kantonio Brownlee will officiate.

Evelyn is survived by her husband of 49 years, John McClinton, Sr. of DeRidder, LA; three children, Keith McClinton & Stephanie of Iowa, LA, John McClinton, Jr. of DeRidder, LA, and Rachel McClinton of Spring, TX; six grandchildren, Kourtney McClinton, Brionna McClinton Spell & Gabe, Jayden McClinton, Jarell Edwards, Chance Sowells, and Milayah Sowells; two great-grandchildren, Kairo Edwards and Brynlee Edwards; two sisters, Carolyn McGee & Charles of Bel Air, MD and Julie Pratt & Sam of Arlington, TX; three brothers, Jesse Marzette, III & Vivian of San Antonio, TX, James Washington & Marlette of Arlington, TX, and William Washington of Arlington, TX; nephew, Carl Marzette of Shreveport, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Washington.
