Ethel Dean “Deannie” Swanson

Ethel Dean “Deannie” Swanson, 70, of DeRidder, passed away Saturday, February 10 in Rosepine.  Visitation will be Monday, February 12 from 5-8pm at Chaddick Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be Tuesday, February 13 at 10am at Chaddick Funeral Home.  Interment will be at Smyrna-Cole Cemetery.  Rev. Frank Ott, Sr. will officiate. Deannie is survived by her husband, Kenneth Swanson of DeRidder, LA; two daughters, Christina Lynn Griffin & Pedro of Point, LA, and Julia Strickland of Hayesville, NC; three sons, David Swanson & Rox Anne of Blairsville, GA, Darryl Swanson of Appleton, WI, and Dusty Swanson & Sheri of Sunny Isles Beach, FL; fifteen grandchildren, Kyle, Kaleb, Karlee, Kado, Alan, Clayton, Robert, Jacob, Eric, Heather, Emily, Samantha, Betsy, Holly, and Sarah; thirteen great-grandchildren; five sisters, Margie Nichelson & Richard of Lucedale, MS, Sylvia Hernandez of Cache, OK, Ann Simmons & James of DeRidder, LA, Rose Mary Eubanks & DeDe of Eubanks, MS, and Patsy Nicholson of Lucedale, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, J.L. Mathis and Viola Serigne; and her brothers, Johnny Mathis and Donald Mathis. She was a member of Pink Ladies Auxiliary of Beauregard Memorial Hospital.
