Alvaro Coronel, 85, of DeRidder, LA passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2025. Visitation will be Thursday, November 20 from 5-9pm at Christway Church. Funeral service will be Friday, November 21 at 10am at Christway Church. Interment will be at Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery.

Alvaro is survived by his wife of 39 years, Lucia Coronel; children, Lucero Coronel & Jocelyn, Sonia Coronel & Martin, Oscar Coronel, Al Coronel, Marty Coronel & George, Lisbeth Driskill & Brian, Karen Rios & Steven, Marisol Smith & Jesse, Jeanette Palomares Coronel & Victor, Alvais Coronel & Shelby, Rachel Coronel & Jonathan, Noah Coronel & Cierra, and Jacob Coronel & Mya; twenty-eight grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Manolo & Soledad Coronel; sister, Clara Coronel; brother, Jorge Coronel; and children, Miriam, Hernan, and Martha-Stella.
